So after two months of work & play on the Isle, I flew to New York City for a remarkably relaxing week of (non-research) tourism. Actually left my camera behind for the most of it - because I needed to let myself just be in a familiar place for once. And soaked up beautiful New York at my own leisurely pace. Meandering those streets and people watching can be quite restorative it seems...
I've missed the fall during my hot & humid Caribbean jaunt. Seriously, every time I saw a package of cinnamon apple chips a wave of season-homesickness swept over me. Although I was dreading how my tropic-acclimatized body would react to the cold, I've been pining to get back home and see some leaf color-change!
